However, the stopper function is not maintained when the floor carpet is taken out, and an 'over stroke' of the Accelerator pedal is possible to occur. In accordance with the special regulations of the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile), Article 254, production car (Gp. N) states that: "All controls must retain the role laid down for them by the manufacturer." In the opinion of the FIA, "if the original function (stopper function) is not maintained when the floor carpet is removed, a stopper must be installed, either on the pedal or the floor panel." An example of the recommended installation of the pedal stopper when the floor carpet is removed are provided below. Please refer it to our recommendation. In addition, whether participating vehicles comply with FIA regulations or not, is depending the sole responsibility of the participant. Moreover, please comfirw whether participanting vehicles comply with all regulations for other domestic events (races, gymkhana, dirt trials etc.)or not by the participant. Notes: 1. Accelerator pedal stopping points Please install the pedal stopper either on the reverse side of the pedal or the floor panel so that there remains a space of 10mm when the pedal is fully extended. 2.
