RALLIART INC. (President: Masao Taguchi) has made available a competition-use "Engine ECU" for the Colt 1.5C. The unit will go on sale from March 9th, 2009.
This competition-use "Engine ECU" has been tried in the Colt 1.5C that competed in the 2008 All-Japan Rally Championship (JN 1.5 class). For the ignition timing, high-octane fuel is recommended (standard Engine ECU uses regular-spec fuel), the air-fuel ratio and MIVEC (continual variable valve timing) control has been studied, and an increase in torque is assured. In addition, the rev cut has been increased to 7,000rpm (6,800rpm is standard), which made the control value of accelerator position sensor and throttle position sensor most optimum and also made acceleratorhas response improved.
*As this competition-use component is designed to improve torque and accelerator response, please make sure high-octane gasoline is always used after installation.
*In addition, as this is a competition-use component, when traveling on public roads, installation of the original standard ECU is necessary.
